The Best Place To Be
One of the best features of Carlmont Parents Nursery School is our incredibly spacious school site which is well equipped both inside and out.
Our outdoors provide a big open space and lovely vistas allowing many and varied activities at the same time. There is plenty of shade for those hot days and there are even trees to climb. If your child needs space to run, pedal, throw, climb, dig or shout, you will find it here.
Inside you will find a series of interesting rooms and spaces. There are monkey bars and bouncers, a 'creation station' and quiet spots to rest or read. There are busy places, sitting places and places to pretend. We have a large block room (in which there is much, much more than just blocks) and a music and reading room with instruments, books, puppets, felt story boards and more.
The size of our site allows us to provide each child a rich and varied experience which they can tailor to their own needs; something which is not possible at many preschools. There is room for quiet engaging activities, large group games, solitary play and active, messy exploration to occur simultaneously without interrupting or disturbing each other. This is a place where your children can experience things you might not want to bring into your home, i.e. mud and water play, gooey art, building large and complex structures, etc.
Visitors to our school often remark how clean and well maintained our site is. This is something to which we pay particular attention. Making sure that your child is safe and properly supervised at all times is very important to us.
Our Nursery for younger siblings on parent work days is also well equipped, clean and well maintained. We have age appropriate toys, books and equipment and also full size cribs for those who need naps.
